There's a nice adsense tips article at Christian Mezei's SEO Blog, and here's a short summary i made of it. These are some simple things, but you always need to keep them in your mind to make your blog earn much more.
1. Blend your ads. Adsense color and font size
Integrate your ads within your content - with fonts, colors, location and borders removing.
2. Placing ads high on a page is good
The first ads that appear on the pages get the most income per click.
3. Use images. Images and Adsense work together
Use images left or right of the ads.
4. Earnings are variable, based on CTR
If you got 5% or more CTR at one site, and some low CTR at another one, and they are at the same account, you loose money.
5. Use non-standard types of ads
Some of the highest performing Google Adsense Ads sizes are:
-336x280 large rectangle
-300x250 inline rectangle
-160x600 wide skyscrapper
